The long tradition

OLD SHINE

The Italian food culture focuses more on choosing fresh, quality ingredients than on intricate preparations. Italian food is considered one of the best food palates in the world.

A very enjoyable meal. The food was fresh and delicious. A good choice of wines to accompany the meal. The vegetarian risotto was very tasty and well cooked, as was the polla alla crema. Starters were impressive in portion size. All round, an excellent meal out.

The venue has an absolutely amazing vibe that is contagious. The staff are great with the chef even making an appearance. The food is what really fuels my desire to leave a review. It was absolutely awesome, full of flavour and unusual combinations that I didn't think would work but the chef pulled them off with no component tasting out of place. If you are in Southend on Sea and don't visit Sunset bar you have wasted your trip.

So glad this restaurant has reopened a real gem along the sea front,wonderful food and great service

We celebrated a friends 80th birthday here and it was fantastic. The staff could not have accommodated our needs better and went over and above to make it so special. Superb service and excellent food. Would highly recommend.

We found this place on Tripadvisor when staying for a cheeky night away in Southend - nearby Premier Inn lovely too. Lovely sea views when dining - and glad that we pre booked Well worth a revisit if you are in the area.

We had delightful views out to sea with delicious food. The service was excellent indeed. Wish I was staying another couple days in order to visit again! Would highly recommend.

Food and service were both amazing. My husband and I visited on a Saturday night and there was a good atmosphere in the restaurant when we arrived.

It was absolutely delicious. Presented extremely well, and everything tasted delicious. Portion size was great.
